IST is considering opening new entry-level Junior School Chinese and Spanish classes for 2011/2011. These "ab initio" classes would be mixed J1 / J2 groups for ages 5 - 8, meeting for half a day in Chinese or Spanish and following the school's regular timetable and programme structure. They would still have Music, Physical Education, Field Trips, Visiting Speakers and so on. The students would then join a regular English class for the other half of the day.

News lately broke of a Justin Bieber assault case. The Usher protégé, whose voice has yet to crack, had been not the victim of the assault. Bieber is not the victim at all. In fact, he is allegedly the goon who carried out the hit. Bieber was playing laser tag in Toronto, and a scuffle broke out between him and a troop of younger kids. The 16 year old Bieber is alleged to have punched a 12 yr old in the face in the midst of a confrontation.

The global economic crisis was caused in no small part by the shenanigans of the banking and investment industries, so the European Parliament has voted 625-28 in favor of EU banker bonuses being capped as soon as possible. Excessive pension payouts will even fall under new guidelines. The Associated Press reports that any short-term cash bonuses from next year could be limited. Now it's time for the rest of the world to follow suit.</p>

The financial reform bill Congress would like to pass by the Fourth of July consists of establishing a new Office of Financial Literacy. The new Dodd-Frank financial reform bill also includes a new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to enforce ethical behavior from banks. But ultimately, consumers will have to educate themselves about money management to stay out of financial trouble. The Office of Financial Literacy will try to make it easier for them to do that.
