Wal-Mart recalls 50,000 chicken nugget packages
Great Value brand chicken nuggets have been recalled from Wal-Mart stores. The recall affects one pound, 13 ounce Great Value brand packages of chicken nuggets. Federal Arizona immigration lawsuit says state law is illegal
The Arizona immigration law was challenged Tuesday in a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Justice Department. The federal government is trying to stop the law from taking effect. The Arizona immigration lawsuit explains that Arizona's new law is unconstitutional because it overrides federal immigration law. Supporters of the Arizona immigration law believe that a state can’t wait for the federal government to deal with immigration reform.

EU banker bonuses capped by European Parliament
The global economic crisis was caused in no small part by the shenanigans of the banking and investment industries, so the European Parliament has voted 625-28 in favor of EU banker bonuses being capped as soon as possible. Excessive pension payouts will even fall under new guidelines. The Associated Press reports that any short-term cash bonuses from next year could be limited. Now it's time for the rest of the world to follow suit.</p>

Office of Financial Literacy seems tucked away in financial reform bill
The financial reform bill Congress would like to pass by the Fourth of July consists of establishing a new Office of Financial Literacy. The new Dodd-Frank financial reform bill also includes a new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to enforce ethical behavior from banks. But ultimately, consumers will have to educate themselves about money management to stay out of financial trouble. The Office of Financial Literacy will try to make it easier for them to do that.

Troubadour Theatre Musical Theatre Summer Camp
The Troubadour Theatre's Musical Theatre camp is a two week long day camp open to ages 8-17. Students will learn acting, singing, and dancing, as well as other areas of theatre such as directing, playwriting, and theatrical design. Students will also perform in a fully-mounted production of the musical Annie, which will be performed on the last day of camp for family and friends. Chinese Pre-School Class Slated for January 2010
We are excited to announce that we are close to opening a Pre-School Chinese immersion class for Semester II of this current school year!!
Six students needed to open the class.
Eight students maximum.
Full-time enrolment only will be accepted.
Students must be aged 2.10 – 3.10 years on entry only.
The teacher is a native-speaker, trained and qualified as an elementary teacher in Taiwan, who has just completed a language-teaching methods programme here in the US.
We are not guaranteeing that the class will continue in the new school year (from August 2010), although we will make every effort for this to occur.
